Shows in Maryland and DC!
Happy New Year, friends and fans!

January is typically a slower time of year for us musician-folk, but I've actually got an unusually busy month.  The complete schedule, as always, is up at www.sethkibel.com, but here are some highlights for the next couple o' weeks:

Thursday, January 7 -- Great Sage Vegan Restaurant
5809 Clarksville Square Drive
Clarksville, MD  21029
8 to 10 pm

No cover, and 1/2 price bottles of wine while we perform!  With Sean Lane on piano, Bob Abbotton bass, and Wes Crawford on drums.

Here's the FB event page for this gig.

Sunday, January 10 -- Corner Store Arts
900 South Carolina Avenue, SE
Washington District of Columbia 20003
5 to 7 pm
$20 advance, $25 at door

This concert is a tribute to the legendary jazz composer Billy Strayhorn.  It was originally scheduled for November, to commemorate Strayhorn's 100th birthday, but had to be rescheduled.  We'll still play a lot of great Strayhorn classics at this show, but probably some other stuff, as well!

With Sean Lane on piano, and special guest vocalist Julie Kurzava!

One more...

Saturday, January 16 -- Glen Echo Park (Spanish Ballroom)
7300 MacArthur Boulevard
Bethesda, MD  20814
9 pm to midnight
$18/adult ($12/for those 17-and-under), with an intro dance lesson (included in the price of admission) at 8 pm.
Another fine swing dance put on by the folks at Flying Feet!  For this show, I'll have pianist Justin Taylor, bassist Bob Abbott, drummer Wes Crawford, and fabulous guest vocalist Jenny Poppen.
