When I'm not flying drones up and down the east coast...
...I'm making music left and right, up and down, north and south! For the full schedule, as well as more groan-worthy humor, follow me on social media or check out my calendar here.
But here are two gigs I wanted to highlight for you right now:
Saturday, December 21 -- Swing Dance with Daryl Davis Band, ft. Seth Kibel
Glen Echo Park (Spanish Ballroom)
7300 Macarthur Boulevard, Glen Echo, MD 20812
9 to 11:30 pm, intro swing dance lesson at 8 pm included in the price of admission
Gottaswing dances in the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park are always nights to remember! And this Saturday will be especially so, as I'll be playing there along with the legendary Daryl Davis! And we'll be joined by guitarist Matt Kelley, bassist Sam Goodall, and drummer El Torro Gamble.
The band plays from 9 to 11:30 pm, but if you arrive at 8 pm, there'll be a intro swing dance lesson included in the price of admission.
Save $10 by purchasing your tickets in advance. And dress in layers! It might be a wee bit chilly at the start of the evening, but I guarantee you it will be good and sweaty and steamy by the time we're done!
Saturday, December 28 -- Annual Hanukkah/Chanukah/Khanuke Concert with the Baltimore Klezmer All-Stars
An Die Musik Live!
409 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
7 to 9 pm
My annual Hanukkah extravaganza at one of Baltimore's best live music venues -- a klezmer and jazz-filled romp through the 4th night of Hanukkah! I've got a GREAT lineup for this year's performance:
Seth Kibel -- clarinet, flute, tenor saxophone
Michael Raitzyk -- electric guitar
Rebekah Geller -- violin
Bob Abbott -- double bass
Mark St. Pierre -- percussion
