I'm one lucky dude.

'Cause this week, I get to play, not one, but TWO shows at everyone's favorite roadhouse in Rockville, Maryland -- Hank Dietle's Tavern!

I'll be there first on Tuesday (9/15) for another of Jeff Muller's epic all-star productions. This one is a tribute to the classic NOLA piano traditions of Professor Longhair, James Booker, Allen Toussaint, and more. Rahsaan Wordslave Eldridge on vocals, Jim Orr on keys, Dave Chappell on guitar, Jeff on bass, Matt Tebo on drums, and this guy on a bunch of blowy things. 8 to 10 pm. I'd recommend getting your tickets in advance for this one!

Then, on Thursday (9/17), I'll be there AGAIN, this time for a swing night with vocalist Flo Anito and myself. And we'll be joined by Sean Lane on piano, Will "MoBetta" Ledbetter on double bass, and Nick Ruggieri on drums. Also 8 to 10 pm, with a $10 cover, collected at the door. Oh, and just because it's a swing night doesn't mean I won't play at least SOME klezmer. You cannot ask a rainbow to stop being a rainbow.
