If you do one thing this month, please go vote. But if you do TWO things this month, might I suggest voting AND going to hear your favorite attention-starved clarinetist (and saxophonist) (and flautist)?
I've got gigs all over the place in the next few weeks, including:
As always, you can check out my schedule of public performances on my website here.
But, there are two shows I want to highlight for you right now -- a free one in Baltimore and then a not-quite-so-free one at a legendary venue in Washington, DC!
Wednesday, November 4 -- Beth El Congregation of Baltimore
8101 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21208
7 to 8:15 pm
This is a completely FREE concert, sponsored by the Rabbi Mark G. Loeb Center for Lifelong Learning. No tickets or advanced registration required. Klezmer, jazz, and swing with yours truly, pianist Sean Lane, and bassist Bob Abbott. In the Offit Auditorium.
Tuesday, November 17 -- Blues Alley
1073 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, 1st Floor, Washington, DC 20007
Shows at 7 and 9:30 pm
A return visit to Washington DC's premier venue for live jazz, the legendary Blues Alley! And this time, it'll be another show celebrating my new(ish) album, "Clarinet, Without a Net," featuring an all-star band of musicians who played on the album with me -- Marcel Penzes on trombone, Erin Snedecor on cello, Ahren Bucheister on acoustic guitar, dobro, and mandolin, Tom Holtz on tuba, and Haroon Alam on tablas. This is the last show I have scheduled celebrating the new record, so don't snooze on this one!
There are two seatings -- one at 7 and a late show at 9:30 pm. Last time I headlined at Blues Alley, we sold out the 7 pm set, so make sure to get your tickets in advance!
