Giving Tuesday and Holiday Hijinks

Tomorrow is "Giving Tuesday" and I realize that there are a gazillion charities worthy of your support in these challenging times. But I want to make a pitch for the "Sandy Alexander Nature Camp Scholarship Fund," which was established at the Irvine Nature Center after Sandy passed away last year.

Our family spent a LOT of time at Irvine over the years, and it's no secret how much Sandy loved this place. Most of all, she loved how much Will and Josie loved it and how their Irvine experiences (especially at the summer camp!) shaped their inquisitive and compassionate attitudes towards nature and the entire world at large. She would be beside herself with joy to learn that her memory was helping to enable others to have that same experience through the Sandy Alexander Nature Camp Scholarship Fund. I know a lot of you have already given to the fund, and please know that I deeply appreciate your generosity. It's been overwhelming and a source of continued comfort for our entire family.

In other news, we've started a busy holiday season for us musician-folk. Over the next few weeks, I'll be playing a plethora of Hanukkah, Christmas, and general holiday merriment events. My biggest challenge is making sure I pick the appropriate tie for each performance. I mean, I don't think anyone would get too upset with me for wearing a reindeer tie at a Hanukkah party or a tie with a menorah on it at a Christmas tree lighting, but I try to keep things focused.

For my full schedule, follow me on social media or check out my calendar here.

But there are two December shows I wanted to highlight in this email.

Saturday, December 20 -- An die Musik LIVE!

My annual Hanukkah concert featuring yours truly, along with legendary Baltimore guitarist Michael Raitzyk! With a bunch of talented friends in tow! This has become a true Baltimore tradition and it's always loads of fun.

This concert COMPLETELY SOLD OUT last year, so if you want in-person tickets, you need to get 'em now! If you'd rather purchase a ticket for the virtual livestream, well, those are in limitless supply.

And then, on Sunday, December 28, I'll be returning to my favorite brewery on the Maryland/PA border, Black Locust Hops Farm Brewery! I'll be playing jazz, swing, and klezmer from 3 to 6 pm with guitarist Michael Raitzyk and bassist Bob Abbott. No cover, plus food trucks, and lots of tasty beverages! Ditch the family and come hang with us! Or bring 'em long! Or tell them to come hear us so you can have some peace and quiet at home!
