You've got rhythm. You've got music. But do you have a ticket?

Thursday, November 18, at the Edlavitch DC Jewish Community Center

In a little over a week, I'll be reprising my epic all-star "Tribute to the Brothers Gershwin." This time, we'll be doing it in our nation's capital, in the newly-renovated Cafritz Hall at the Edlavitch DC Jewish Community Center, just a few blocks from Dupont Circle.

Joining me again will be a s'wonderful group of musicians, including pianist Sean Lane, bassist Bob Abbott, drummer Nick Ruggieri, vocalist Flo Anito, and violinist Nataly Merezhuk.

This is an in-person ONLY performance and will follow the JCC's strict COVID guidelines -- proof of vax and masking required! It's a 7:30 pm show. Tickets are $19 ($17 for seniors and students). Make sure to get 'em ahead of time.

So...here's something that caught me by surprise...

A video by Pakistani singer Javed Bashir that features quite a bit of saxophone playing from yours truly is currently approaching 18 MILLION VIEWS on YouTube. Yeah, it's pretty amazing.

Check it out below. The entire performance is fantastic, but my solo begins at around the 4:20 (!) mark and then I trade riffs with Javed towards the end.

A few weeks ago, the Music Pilgrim Trio (Vladimir Fridman, Bob Abbott, and myself), were honored to perform at the National Cathedral for a special ceremony honoring the life and work of Elie Wiesel. There are a number of videos on YouTube of us performing at this event. Check out some of it below.
