...and the short clarinetist played on...
I know there's a lot of crazy stuff going on these days, but isn't it comforting to know that no matter what happens, I'll still be out there, annoying someone  with my squeaky misery stick?

You can see me do just that on Thursday!

MASC Grand Prize!!
So...last Sunday evening, I received an amazing voice mail message informing me that my song, "New Waltz," won the GRAND PRIZE for this year's Mid-Atlantic Song Contest sponsored by theSongwriter's Association of Washington (SAW).

I am shocked and humbled that my little ditty, with no lyrics, and a rather unimaginative title, took home the top honors. I only regret that I wasn't able to make the awards gala to celebrate wit h everyone and give everyone there a sloppy drunken hug. Believe me, I would have!

You can purchase said album here, or pretty much anywhere fine music is sold in the digital multiverse.

Tiny Desk Contest
Now, if it were a "Tiny Clarinetist Contest," I'd be a shoo-in.  And if it were a "Tiny Hands Contest," we all know who would win the prize.  But, it's neither of those things!
It's the "Tiny Desk Contest," sponsored by NPR Music.  If you listen to NPR a lot, you know what this is, but if not, go here to find out lots more!
If you follow NPR Music on any of the social networks, you'll get a number of opportunities to vote for me in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, check out my wild and wacky submission!
