If you're not under house arrest...
(I'm lookin' at you, Paulie M!)
...come spend Tuesday night sharing my liberal outrage!
Tuesday, November 7 -- Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club
CD Release Show of Snark & Despair
7719 Wisconsin Avenue
Bethesda, MD  20814
240-330-4500
8 to 10 pm
$12.50 per person (free admission to George Papadopoulos, but no secret taping!)
This is going to be your only chance in the DC area to hear the songs from my new album performed live.  Not only that, but I've got a "grand jury of musicians" lined up for your listening pleasure.  Flo AnitoBilly CoulterDavid KitchenBlack Betty (Jenny Langer)Damon Foreman, and Chris Urquiaga will reprise their songs from the album as well as perform short mini-sets of their own repertoire that keeps in with the overall theme of the evening.  Plus, familiar songs of protest from folks like Bob Dylan, Elton John, Marvin Gaye, and more.  And I'll be colluding with a crack house band consisting of guitaristSteve Steckler, pianist Sean Lane, bassist Russell Rodgers, and drummer Wes Crawford.  And yes, I'll be giving periodic election updates (from Virginia and elsewhere) from the stage.  And I guarantee I'll be funnier than Wolf Blitzer (although that's a pretty high bar).
It's reserved seating, and this is gonna be the biggest audience for a CD release show EVER, so get your ticket right now by clicking this link!
And please, please, please, PLEASE -- buy, download, stream, share, repost, review, playlist, and generally scream about my album from the rafters.  I need all the help I can get!  Your support, as always, is greatly appreciated. This is probably the best link for you to get started doing all of that!

Klezmer with Bacon!
I've known  Christylez Bacon for quite a few years, and have constantly been in awe of his multitudes of talents (rapping, beatboxing, songwriting, vocalizing, guitarizing, percussing). And I've long since joked that we should do a klezmer project together since I had the perfect name in mind -- "Klezmer With Bacon." Get it? It's an awesome name, right?
Well, this Wednesday, my joke becomes a reality as Christylez and myself debut our joint klez-hop project as part of this  year's Washington Jewish Music Festival.
Wednesday, November 8 -- Songbyrd Music House & Record Cafe
Klezmer with Bacon
2475 18th Street, NW
Washington, DC  20009
202-450-2917
7:30 to 10 pm
$8 in advance, $10 at the door
Presented by the Washington Jewish Music Festival, this will be a double-bill with Simone Baron & the Contra Ponte Project.  We go on first.
