Klezmer, jazz, and then some klezmer & jazz

Happy (almost) Autumn!

I've got a bunch of public performances coming up in the next few weeks.  Below are some highlights, but remember, you can always find my complete schedule on here on this website!

This Thursday, September 23, The Alexandria Kleztet will journey down south, to Wilmington, North Carolina, for a very special concert.  If you've got any friends or family down that way, please help spread the word!

Concert at 128 South
128 S. Front Street
Wilmington, North Carolina  28401
919-886-6889
7:30 pm

Tickets are $15, and it's a fairly intimate venue, so advance tickets are STRONGLY recommended.

Here's the Facebook event page, if you're into that sort of thing:

Then, on Sunday, September 26, Bay Jazz Project will play the festive and free outdoor concert series at Eastern Market in Washington, DC, from 1 to 3 pm.

Eastern Market
225 7th Street, SE (right by Port City Java)
Washington, DC  20003

If the weather's nice, this gig is a LOT of fun.  With me for this show will be pianist Sean Lane, bassist Bob Abbott, and drummer Mark Lucas.

On Wednesday, October 6, The Alexandria Kleztet will once again return to The Peabody Institute in Baltimore to give a free concert.  We'll be in the Cohen Davison Theater.

1 East Mount Vernon Place
Baltimore, MD  21202
410-234-4500
7 - 9 pm

It's free, open to the public, and no tickets are required!  Again, here's a Facebook event page for ya:

Finally, on Sunday, October 10, I'll be doing a special, one-time concert at Guitars of Pikesville.  It's billed as "Seth Kibel & friends," and it'll be be yours truly, along with superlative jazz guitarist Michael Raitzyk and musically promiscuous bassist Dave Frieman.  We'll be playing some of my original compositions, along with a little klezmer, a little jazz, and a lot of unplanned improvisations!  It should be a fun and special evening.

Guitars of Pikesville
806 Reisterstown Road, 2nd floor S6
Pikesville, MD  21208
410-415-5400

There'll be a $5 suggested donation at the door.

Here's that FB event page:
