I put the "ah" in Hanukkah and the "ew" in New Year's Eve!

Annual Hanukkah Concert at An Die Musik!

This Thursday, December 22, I'll once again be leading an all-star band at one of Baltimore's best concert venues, An Die Musik Live!

Joining me for this one-time musical celebration of all things Hanukkah (with plenty of klezmer and jazz, to boot) is guitarist Michael Raitzyk, violinist/vocalist Rebekah Geller, guitarist/vocalist Kristoffer Belgica, bassist Derek Wiegmann, and drummer Ethan Hasiuk. Come listen as we put our own "spin" on the Dreydl song!

You can purchase in-person tickets or tickets for a highly-quality virtual livestream, viewable for up to a week after the show. Folks who buy an in-person ticket also get access to the livestream link.

New Year's Eve at Keystone Korner Baltimore!!

I'm super-excited to announce that I'll be spending New Year's Eve at one of the Mid-Atlantic's premier jazz clubs, Keystone Korner Baltimore, opening up for Sweden's "Queen of Swing," the legendary Gunhild Carling.

Do you think I feature a lot of shtick in my act? Do you think I'm a "clown with a stick?" I'm nothing compared to Ms. Carling. Even if you're not sure of who she is, I bet you've seen some of her videos, like this one where she plays 10 different instruments in one song, or this one that features both her bagpipe and dancing skills. I'm going to appear downright stoic next to her!

There are going to be two shows -- one at 6:30 pm and one at 10 pm. We'll open both with a 45-minute set, playing jazz, swing, and klezmer with some of my usual cohorts -- pianist Sean Lane, bassist Bob Abbott, and drummer Joey Antico. Then, Gunhild will take the stage and chaos will ensue!

The 6:30 pm show is also available for purchase as a livestream as well as in-person attendance. The 10 pm show is in-person only. Also note that we are NOT opening for Ms. Carling on the December 30 shows.
