Happy 2015!  I hope it's treating everyone well thus far, and that you're doing your best to keep (relatively) warm, and out of trouble.

As for me, you can come see me fly head first into trouble at lotsa places over the next month or two.  As always, the complete schedule is at, but here are two highlights remaining in January:

Saturday, January 17 -- Glen Echo Park (Spanish Ballroom)

Seth Kibel Quartet

7300 MacArthur Boulevard

Bethesda, MD  20814

9 pm to midnight (beginner dance lesson at 8 pm)

$18 at the door

Another epic dance event brought to you by the good folks atGottaswing!  The weather forecast looks pretty darn good, so I think this is gonna be a highlight of the winter dance scene in the DC area.

I'll have the usual suspects with me -- Sean Lane on piano, Bob Abbott on double bass, Wes Crawford on drums, with the added treat of special guest vocalist Lena Seikaly.

Here's the FB event page for ya:

Friday, January 30 -- Joe Squared

Seth Kibel Trio

133 W. North Avenue

Baltimore, MD  21201

8 to 11 pm

No cover!

A rare B'more club date, and with no cover.  But you'll have to drop some cash for Joe's legendary (and award-winning) pizza.  This show is part of their new Friday-night jazz series, and will include Sean Lane on piano and Bob Abbott on bass.

Here's that FB event page:

Keep warm out there!
