Shows in DC and Baltimore and some exciting news!

This Thursday at Mr. Henry's in DC!

This Thursday, January 5, I'm delighted to be playing my first public show of 2023 at the legendary Mr. Henry's in DC!

I'll be joined by some of my favorite people -- Sean Lane on piano, Bob Abbott on double bass, and superlative vocalist Flo Anito! We'll be doing a lot of classic jazz and swing, Great American Songbook standards, and yes, a bit o' klezmer, too!

Doors open at 6 pm, and then we play from 7:30 to 10:30 pm. Tickets are $15 and there's a $12 food/drink minimum.

Advanced ticket purchase is a MUST!

Get 'em here now!

A very lucky Friday, the 13th!

Then, on Friday, January 13th, I'm playing at the very hip Five and Dime Ale House in Baltimore's groovy Hampden neighborhood.

There's no cover, and we'll be playing from 8 to 11 pm. I'll be joined by Sean Lane (piano), Bob Abbott (bass), and Wes Crawford (drums). And we'll have a VERY special guest -- blues & jazz diva Jenny Langer, from Moonshine Society and The Boneshakers! It's gonna be a very special evening of jazz, blues, and (sigh...) klezmer.

I woke up to some pretty exciting news this morning!

Three of my recent songs have been recognized by this year's Mid-Atlantic Song Contest (MASC), sponsored by the Songwriters' Association of Washington (SAW).

"Robert Johnson in 1972" took the GOLD (top prize!) in the Vocal Jazz/Blues category. "Gershwin's 7th Symphony" was also a FINALIST in the same category. Both songs are from my "Seth's Magical Musical Multiverse" EP.

And my composition "How Will I Know?" garnered the SILVER prize in the Instrumental category. This song is from my "Clarinetflix & Chill" album.

Haven't heard these tunes yet? Both albums are up on Bandcamp and they're also on pretty much every online music platform (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)

There's a lot of INCREDIBLE songwriters and composers on the winners' list, so it really is gratifying to be recognized in this way.
